PawsUp for PetBox!

Our pack is very honored to have been asked to review PetBox on a monthly basis for the next year!!!!  How cool is that?  An even cooler thing is that PetBox is willing to help us help a great cause!  They have set up a special code “McGrady20″ that will get you 20% off your one-year subscription purchase AND give a portion of the proceeds to help support deeply discounted spay/neuter initiatives made possible by a partnership of McGrady’s Foundation, Fabulous McGrady and Friends Foundation and the Humane Society in the county from which McGrady came, Ashe Humane Society in West Jefferson, NC.  …

Announcing the 3/6/10 Fund

What is the 3/6/2010 Fund?

On March 6, 2010, our inspiration and mascot, McGrady, was adopted from Ashe County (NC) Animal Control.  During that same year only 264 animals made it out to safety with 1526 being euthanized.  The 1526 weren’t euthanized due to lack of caring on the Animal Control Officers’ part…the fact that they saved a ragtag stray dog who they suspected to be deaf (McGrady) should prove their level of caring.  …

VALENTINE’S DAY INSPIRATION!
In early February 2014, we saw a post on Facebook by a group of advocates helping Lancaster County (SC) Animal Shelter that noted the shelter was running short on food.   Our founder has made several trips to this shelter over the years as part of her involvement in Australian Shepherd rescue and so was quite familiar with their huge intake numbers but also with their rescue-friendlinesss! …

DOG FOOD DONATION DRIVE

FMFF is conducting a food drive to help Lancaster County (SC) Animal Control.  County shelters allocate funds to feed a certain amount of animals for a certain number of days.  Should the shelter suddenly experience a large influx of animals, their food budgets are quickly exhausted—especially when Animal Control Officers try to give each animal there every chance and time. …

Grand Opening, Grand Gesture!

Saturday, February 1, 2014, marked the Grand Opening of a new dog bakery & boutique, Barks, Bones and Biscuits, in Mint Hill NC (in the SE Charlotte Metro area).   We had met the owner, Robin Kline, at several pet-themed events over the past year and McGrady had taken quite a shine to her bakery’s line of treats. …

They ARE the “somebody”:
How many of us have identified a problem somewhere and said to ourselves, “somebody should do something about that…” but yet never stepped up to address it ourselves. …

Fun, Flavor and Funds for a Great Cause…All in a Box….PetBox, that is!

Our pack is always happy to provide our canine (and feline) opinions on pet-related products…especially those who share our desire to help animals-in-need.  When we were asked to evaluate PetBox and learned that we would also be able to help a cause near and dear to our hearts, we told Mom to sign us up! …
